The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the ongoing noise pollution and other nuisances facing the residents of Kalyaninagar. As you may know, TSKN is a group of concerned citizens committed to ensuring cleanliness, hygiene and safety in our locality. In recent times, we have noticed a significant increase in noise pollution levels due to various reasons like loud music from nearby establishments, construction activities and traffic congestion.

Due to this, the residents are facing a lot of trouble especially late at night. TSKN members highlighted the serious impact of noise pollution on public health, especially on senior citizens suffering from palpitations and migraines. Night disturbances also affect children’s concentration on studies.

TSKN and residents extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Haji Zakir Shaikh for organizing the meeting with Dr Shashi Tharoorji.
